Work On CHROMOPHOBIA Begins; Bizarro Pulp Press Deadline Looms

Why worry about Right Now when you can worry about Next Year, instead?

Submissions for CHROMOPHOBIA have been closed for a hot minute. By now, everyone who submitted has been notified that we have received your manuscript. Now, the reading begins. It’ll take a few months to get through all these stories!

So, big thanks to everyone who submitted. And, an extra big thanks to CHROMOPHOBIA editor, Sara Tantlinger. We are lucky to be able to work with her.

Hopefully, in October, we’ll have some finished artwork to show off. Until then, we don’t mind dropping little sneak peeks:

For the 2022 Bizarro Pulp Press roster, we are looking exclusively for material from BIPOC authors.

Big, weird Horror. Big, weird Bizarro. Big, weird Science Fiction. Big, weird Romance.

Only 4 titles will be selected.

Manuscripts must be completed in order to submit, as authors will be contacted in very quick turnaround. Pitches will be read over the 2nd and 3rd of October and any manuscript requests will be made on the 4th of October. If you are not contacted on the 4th of October, then we have passed on your pitch.

If you aren’t ready, do not submit.

No collections.

15K and up to 30K words. These are firm numbers.

submission MUST include a logline, synopsis, and word count. Any submission missing these items will not be considered.

On September 29th and 30th, you can submit a logline (25 words max) along with a three-sentence synopsis (250 words max) and manuscript word count to: roosterrepublicpress@gmail.com

ALL THREE OF THE ABOVE ITEMS MUST BE INCLUDED IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED.
