Pre-orders and blurbs and cover artwork!

June is drawing to a close. It’s been a rough month, no doubt, but let’s share some GOOD STUFF. There’s been a big lack of good stuff lately.

2020’s official mascot, or an outtake for Cradleland of Parasites? Take your pick!

First, a reminder that the absolutely beautiful special edition of Sara Tantlinger’s CRADLELAND OF PARASITES is up for pre-order on July 1st. That’s only a couple days away! There’s only going to be 100 of these made available for purchase and I’d be surprised if we still have any left by the end of July. We’ll post something more official on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, we have been working on a handful of other projects, including the special edition of K.P. Kulski’s debut novel, FAIREST FLESH. We are really excited for this book, and can’t wait to share more about it. In the meantime, how about we show you two STELLAR blurbs for the title.

Bram Stoker Award-winner Sara Tantlinger had this to say:

“In K.P. Kulski’s Fairest Flesh, historical horror and blood-soaked fairy tales coalesce to form a world entirely its own. If you think you know the story of Countess Elizabeth Báthory, wait until you see what Kulski has in store. This book holds nothing back, and once you fall into the dark clutches of Kulski’s writing, you won’t be able to stop reading. Each dynamic character is full of sins and humanity alike; their desires will bleed into your soul, refusing to set you free until you know how it ends. Within, you will become ensnared by witchcraft and teeth, massacre and secrets…how prepared are you to step into this world where blood stains the snow?”

And if that doesn’t entice you, then how about this blurb from Paul Tremblay (!), author of A HEAD FULL OF GHOSTS and SURVIVOR SONG:

“Deftly mashing together notorious historical figures, feminism, and the grimmest of fairy tales, FAIREST FLESH is as brutally horrifying as it is mesmeric. Consider me a K.P. Kulski fan for life.”

Excellent! Early word of mouth is shaping up nicely for FAIREST FLESH and it deserves every bit of praise surely coming its way. Keep an eye out for more news in the coming weeks. We pushed back the special edition pre-order date to August 1st. The standard edition will come out at Halloween.

And lastly, take a look at this cover for Andrew James Stone’s latest novel, THE ULTIMATE DINOSAUR DANCE-OFF, coming soon from Journalstone’s imprint Bizarro Pulp Press:

TUDD0 Media Cover

This book is a departure in tone from Stone’s previous two titles (THE MORTUARY MONSTER and ALL HAIL THE HOUSE GODS) and we’d have to say that this is definitely his most Bizarro narrative yet. Psychedelic doesn’t even really begin to do the book justice. It’s one part BILLY ELLIOT and one part JURASSIC PARK but all the other parts are all Andrew. That is to say, if you like what you’ve read of his, then give this a gander for sure!

In the meantime, we are still prepping titles, and we will keep sharing as we go along.
